As I mentioned in my last post, we were held up for almost a month thanks to Columbia Gas. Again, I would avoid them like the plague if you have an option. I unfortunately did not.
Anyways, I thought it would be a good idea for me to do a walk through to share some photos and video of the progress. I couldn’t fit each room into the video due to youtube’s 10 minute constraint, but here’s a good look at where we’re at:

It’s been a few days since I posted a video, so I thought I’d better do a walkthrough, and snap some pictures along the way. They have pretty much buttoned up the entire house now, with the exception of the garage door and the windows across the back of the basement. It feels much more secure and much more weather resistant.
We’ve had a finished roof for 6 days now, so the crew went to work wrapping the house, then getting the windows and doors in. We also had a shower and tub delivery, which forced us to make a decision on some Master Bath items like the shower and tub. I’ll do a follow up post on those, be we had great success through a single website.

This week has given us a couple deliveries. Yesterday we received the window and door shipment, and today we received the siding shipment. As you can see below, neither are on the house now, but the wrap was completed today. They should be ready to side and install windows/doors now. We’re supposed to have a decent morning tomorrow, so hopefully they can get some of the windows and doors in. The weather hasn’t been the greatest. I plan on doing a follow up post or 2 on the wrap that they used and the windows and doors we went with. Be sure to check back.
Hello, I'm Donny Kemick! I am building a Barden Home and want to share my experience to help future builders. I have noticed that there is no one else (as of the writing of this) that has written about their experience. Hopefully, this will be of use to future builders.
