The plumber got started today with some rough in work for the bathrooms and laundry.  The GC’s guys worked on laying out locations for the Forced Heat/Air vents.  Here’re some pics of their progress:

It’s been a few days since I posted a video, so I thought I’d better do a walkthrough, and snap some pictures along the way.  They have pretty much buttoned up the entire house now, with the exception of the garage door and the windows across the back of the basement.  It feels much more secure and much more weather resistant.

We’ve had a finished roof for 6 days now, so the crew went to work wrapping the house, then getting the windows and doors in.  We also had a shower and tub delivery, which forced us to make a decision on some Master Bath items like the shower and tub.  I’ll do a follow up post on those, be we had great success through a single website.

You may have noticed that I didn’t post the past couple of days.  It’s certainly not because I didn’t want to…  Now that the foundation walls are up, we need to wait to pour the basement floor until the plumber gets in to rough in a basement restroom.  We won’t be finishing/enclosing/fixturing a bathroom down there this year, but we figured we may as well rough one in while the plumber is working.

The plumber, who we had hoped could come today, won’t be here until the 30th now.  After the rough in, the concrete crew will pour the basement floor, and probably the garage floor as well.  Check back on Tuesday for an update.
